It is observed that during the planning stage, many of the Luxury Apartment complexes, housing complexes and so on, provide these aforementioned services, considered essential but rarely considered when the BOQ's are prepared and hence very basic systems are proposed without employeing the latest developments in these technologies. Currently the customers who will occupy these luxury apartments are in search of more advanced and high quality Satellite & TV facilities available in keeping with current developments in Satellite & Television industries.
At present there are 13 local TV Channels, Cable TV Networks, free to Air Satellite TV Channels and three major Pay TV service providers, which are in operation and more service providers are expected to enter the market in the near future and some of the Pay TV service providers deliver their services in the Satellite TV IF Band (950 to 2150 MHz) A very important fact is that some MATV/SMATV service providers design the TV distribution system according to their own specifications, but do not leave provisions for any other service to enter in the future. Therefore whenever the occupants are dis satisfied with an existing service provider, they will have no access to any other service due to limitations in the design.
It is observed that some TV distribution systems Installed are equipped with different brands and differently Specified components and therefore are unable to be replaced with proper spares. We believe that in all apartment complexes and Hotels, the option should be available to the occupants to select the Pay TV service of their choice. The TV distribution system should be capable of accommodating the complete terrestrial TV, Cable TV and Satellite TV IF frequency bands up to 2150 MHz.
